REALLY GOOD BASIC BURRITOS BUT THERE IS NO DRIVE THRU!! I was disappointed to find out about no drive thru but the food made up for it. I've only had their shrimp and California burritos. They were ginormous and the taste was exactly what I was looking for. Their salsa bar has 4 different kinds of salsa and pico de gallo!!! The super spicy salsa was goooood. They were friendly and the food came out fast and fresh. This is my new go-to Mexican place!

Food was excellent. Got the grilled chicken burrito and not only was it massive, it tasted delicious. Service was A+. I was told where the salsa bar was, and to help myself to any of the salsas, and was directed to where the restroom was while I waited for my food to be ready. A+ in my book.

My husband has been trying to get me to try this place since his coworkers introduced him to this place. He and my sons have been there a few times already. I had a tripas taco (would love to have this as a regular item) and chile relleno. Absolutely delicious! Great amount of food, guacamole was great, and the salsas were excellent. We ended buying extra spicy salsa (Memory salsa and salsa verde) to take home. Great overall experience - food, service, and ambiance.

12am burrito run. My hungry vacuum of a partner and I visited Adolfos, appreciating the 24-hour openness of the restaurant. We love Al pastor, so we got it in burrito format. Fish taco for a taco as a lil snacky snack and a carne asada taco bc my stomach thought we could handle it (twas midnight, so we didn't want to get our own burritos bc my metabolism be slowin down. Ya know...age) Anyways. Al pastor was amazing as always!!! So good. Comes with guacamole and pico. Really full of meat. Fish taco had a crunch and the salad topping was amazing. The creamy sauce was slightly sweet and fresh. Asada taco was great. I recommend the green salsa to add a lil spice. The cashier was so sweet. Thank you for showing my partner how to use the hand sanitizer machine

I'm so upset at myself for not knowing about this place sooner!! As someone who missed the late night tacos and no frills eateries in Santa Ana after moving to Irvine, this place is exactly what I needed. This place is 24/7 and is located in a seemingly dark plaza- do not let this deter you from visiting! I ordered the al pastor, carne asada, and barbacoa tacos, and all three were fantastic. Though the tacos were $5 each, each taco was fist sized with generous portions of meat and an amazing tortilla. (I'd be happy eating just the tortilla with some butter and salt tbh.) Each of the meats tasted fresh and had a good chew in them; they're definitely on par with the joints in Santa Ana. Everyone there was super friendly, and the staff was energetic with all the customers and each other, which is impressive for a 10pm dinner. There was a steady flow of customers, and everyone received the same level of attentiveness from the staff. If you're hungry late at night, this is definitely the place to be!

So...I don't know how long Adolfo's has been here but I do know that there's always been a Mexican food joint at this location for the longest time. It could've been Adolfo's all these years, I honestly can't tell you. After decades of living here in South OC, we finally grabbed some tacos from Adolfo's. Parking is right in front of the restaurant. They're located at a small plaza right across the street from King's Fish House and In-N-Out in Laguna Hills, right up against the 5 freeway. There are no outdoor tables and seating inside is extremely limited. Off the top of my head, there are four booth tables, a couple smaller tables and chairs. It's a hole in the wall place, that's kfor sure. The salsa bar is off to the side up against the wall and to the right of the cashier. What we have ordered: keep in mind the portions are huge. 1) Lengua tacos - I love lengua, however, the lengua taco that I had was gamey. The meat was chopped into small cube-like pieces. I couldn't enjoy this one at all and had to stop eating it. Maybe it was an off day, I don't know. But what I do know is that I probably wouldn't order this again. 2) cheese quesadilla- my two younger kids, love the quesadilla here. 3) carne asada burrito - YUMMY 4) rolled tacos with beef - we order this with cheese, sour cream and guacamole. It is so good. The meat is never dry. 4) Fish tacos - this is one of my favorites. It is absolutely delicious. 5) shrimp tacos - also good but I do prefer the fish here 6) carnitas tacos - my oldest kid had it with cheese or plain. The meat was juicy yet had a crust to it. She can eat two of these. I love this with all the usual toppings. It's one of my go-tos. 7) Al Pastor tacos - I am extremely picky about al pastor. I don't think everyone has one worthy to eat, but Adolfo's is one of two places I do enjoy. The meat is juicy and perfectly flavored. I never order Adolfo's without grabbing an al pastor. 8) breakfast burrito - one of my kids love the breakfast burritos here. It's what they order every time. 9) soda - Dr Pepper to be exact. Refills on that? Heck yes! I'm not a soda drinker, but I'll take a glass of Dr Pepper anytime. We love, Adolfo's. I don't know what took us so long but that won't happen again. Tip for you though; if ordering to go, take your tacos with flour tortilla unless you're eating it within a few minutes. Corn tacos, typically fall apart if you don't eat it for more than a handful of minutes after they're made.

Stopped by for lunch. Nice hole in the wall place. Clean inside and very friendly service. Salsa bar with good selection of salsa (favorite was the avocado, hottest one, and the green salsa). We ordered two burritos. A California and a Carne Asada. The tortilla for the burrito is delicious. Good size portion for both. I ate the whole thing but realistically half would fill you up. Both burritos tasted great, but the California was a bit greasy. The place is open 24/7 so great for late night option. Would definitely come again.
